Poppy Time

March 22nd, 2008

I stopped along the roadway near a railroad track when I saw the poppies. This group of poppies not only had the sunlight coming down from atop in the afternoon but also a large tin lid – perhaps off a barrel that was reflecting light up from the side onto these poppies. The color and lighting made possible by tin lid reflection.  Zooming in to avoid blocking any of the tin lid light worked.

  • This is a perfect, classic, gorgeous depiction of our California poppies. I hope you make lots of money selling this one to someone, because it’s truly art.

  • Ha if someone offered I suppose I would LOL but so far I am in the taking pics for the fun mode still. Thank you for the compliment.
